Dr. Schmid graduated from Kansas State University and is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Toxicology and American Board of Veterinary Toxicology. While at SafetyCall International and Pet Poison Helpline, Dr. Schmid has had the opportunity to manage thousands of cases involving animal poisonings. In addition, she has presented on various toxins and leadership at both state, regional and national conferences as well as national webinars. During her undergraduate years, Dr. Jacquelyn Diamond volunteered with the Italian Greyhound Club of America Rescue Foundation. When she saw the number of dogs surrendered to rescue for easily preventable diseases, she realized that she wanted to become an advocate for animals and help educate their owners on the importance of preventative care. Dr. Diamond chose the dermatology specialty because of the chronic nature of the cases, which allows her to build relationships with her patients and clients. Dr. Diamond enjoys all aspects of dermatology, but has a special interest in CO2 laser surgery, hair restoration therapies, otitis and allergies. Dr. Diamond earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics and Business from Boston University in 2006, and her DVM from Ross University in 2014.
